Michael and Elizabeth also produce handmade pure beeswax polish with turpentine which
is ideal for maintaining the finish on both antique and modern furniture.

However, the two sides of the business actually complement each other and traditionally
the furniture maker and the blacksmith worked hand in hand.
When restoring antique furniture it is sometimes necessary to replace old nails.
In this situation new nails would look out of place so replica handcrafted nails
have to be forged using traditional techniques.
Likewise, when restoring cast iron bench ends it is necessary to renew the wooden
seat and back struts. Due to our woodworking skills this process can be carried out
in house.
